This week has been fully loaded with massive hacks resulting in huge losses, big brand name announcements and lots of NFT action. We cover some of it on Episode 2 of the Exit Liquidity show, but there's still a ton in this newsletter that we did not cover in the video. Do yourself a favor and catch up below.   • NFT marketplace, Magic Eden, is expanding into ETH NFTs and will become a multi-chain platform for trading

  • OpenSea proves yet again what a terrible platform they are by introducing a new feature allowing users to buy and send NFTs to another wallet in the same transaction which triggered tracking apps to show that specific wallets (such as influencers or whales) were buying NFTs they were not

  • Nansen drops stats on NFT sales such as market participants spent 963,227 $ETH (approximately $2.7b) on minting NFTs in the first half of 2022 plus more

  • NFTs.com domain sold for $15M. Unknown buyer at the time, but it was reported that the buyer has associations with other Web3 projects

  • Tiffany's & Co NFTiff early mints are already being flipped, someone even managed to squeak out 1 ETH of profit

  • Coolman's Universe Babies claims have officially begun. Holders have until August 23rd to claim.

  • Moonbirds and Oddities moving to a CC0 public license

  • DappRadar July overview dropped and the biggest winners were P2E NFT games. Axie Infinity a big standout reaching more than $830 million in trading volume alone. They also report NFTs being more relevant than ever. Definitely a good read back by lots of numbers and charts

  • Starbucks to introduce a Web3 based rewards program next month

  • NFT project, Tenacious Tacos, by StrEATS restaurant franchise aims to bring IRL benefits to project holders such as discounts on tacos, staking and more to push the into Web3 space. Sign up for the Premint WL

  • Ex-Meta Facebook and Tinder employees start a Web3 social network called Niche. Built on the blockchain, the app will help communities setup as DAOs which will allow members to own, control, and monetize the content they create on the platform

  • Dtravel, a Web3 vacation and short-term rental platform, has completed its first successful smart-contract booking
